Pretty sure it’s an anemone

I’m just not sure what kind. This coral is straight off the boat from Australia. Peacock anemone? Curly Q? Another? I don’t know enough about nems to be sure.

Can't tell you what it is, but it's not one of those three. The peacock and fireworks are both tube anemones. The curlique is Caribbean.

Do these sea slugs have a mouth in their back and stay in one place? Because this one has a mouth in the middle from what I can tell and doesn't move.

Nope you were right. I turned the lights off and that bugger took off. Got it too. Thanks guys

There we’re two. Gonna look up egg casing photos so I can check the corals over more.

So apparently the reason it didn't move is that they make a burrow and stay there till they are ready to feed, so it was probably doing rounds at night and returning to its hidey hole. Anyhow, both have been removed and dealt with.

Yup sure did. Wish I'd realized it sooner. But I'm always wary about just killing stuff as soon as I see it. I've gotten some pretty cool hitchhikers over the years by looking first. Like Waldo, my pink and white striped brittle star who lives on the gorgonians.
