Previously tough red Goni showing some stress

Has anyone seen this symptom in a typical red goni before?

I suspect it got irritated by an urchin but that never happened in several years.

It may be a reaction to GFO but that never happened before. I trick Rowaphos very slowly with 5 tablespoons through active filter at very slight trickle.

I have feed more to get a feeding response with various foods and started increasing water changes. I sent off ICP the other day as well. Lighting it t5 54x8 (2 UV, 2 Coral Plus, 4 ATI blue plus. I use 3.2 liters a day carefully metered kalk and ~65cc day each bionic 2 part. Any insight into some one seeing this reaction before is welcome.

Could be several possibilities. Precipitate fell on the goni, urchin irritated it and causes an injury and it may be the start of BJD or something off in your H2O params.

I do not see any jelly and alevopora are ok. I am likely to react to an icp, keep adding eco balance bacteria(why?) and change 15% water 2x a week for a while with Bioactif. I feed lots, in terms of 4x per day, mysis larrys, tdo nori

Anyway it was a nasty case of STN. With no real related cause as ICP results were excellent, alkalinity was stable to low grade hobby test kits I had enough and **** it all. It would be a fools errand to throw more money away.
