Price for Grim Reaper Zoa?

I wouldn't spend extra for them. I think lineage only matters with torches. I've got 3 different Holy Grail variations but have always been able to get zoas to color up. I had a similar situation with Utter Chaos. I bought some that didn't look as nice or get as big as my friends. They turned out the same over time. I think it's light and flow. Grim Reapers specifically like lower par. Just move the frag until it's happy.

I now tell people the most I have ever paid for a coral is $30 to avoid comments about how much I spent. They spend $30 a week just on coffee at Starbucks and still ask why anyone would pay $30 for a coral they will enjoy for years.

I think it's more because coral pricing is somewhat subjective rather than a business selling products priced on a prescribed profit margin, cost of goods, and labor. I agree both are luxuries but when one vendor charges 10 for Mohawk palys and another 50, it draws some raised eyebrows.

Just my 2c. Corals are priced for what people will pay, but I still find some a bit exorbitant considering a few of them practically grow themselves.
