Pricing out an aquarium - Opinions needed

I would look into a different overflow rather than the Synergy, also your plumbing will definitely be more than $100. I would wager to guess $2-300 atleast..

That specific tank says it's drilled for a 16" Synergy, am I stuck with that as my only overflow option? I just assumed since it said that in the listing that was all I'd be able to attach to it. And thank you on the plumbing, I had no idea how much that would cost.

Modular Marine makes a drop in replacement for the Synergy so you should be able to use atleast one of those. Exotic Marine Systems also can make an overflow to fit the holes for the Synergy. I suggest digging into each one and weigh the pros and cons of them. You're not stuck with the synergy if you really don't want it. And yes plumbing costs aren't often talked about but they can be right up there with any other costs

Adds up fast doesn't it! A while back I decided to add up all the 'investments' in my system. I stopped one I hit $30K …..

congrats on the upgrade.
I 2nd a look at the pro clear tanks just to get an idea another brand to look at are the fiji cube tanks.
that said i did have the SCA 90 cube nice tank for sure. but IMHO I would go with the 150 give you a bit of more room. guessing you are not gooa upgrade for along time if ever so i really would think it out. not that bigger is better just saying.

also look into behind wall tanks, some love em some dont make sure you have a way to access the tank from the front as well as the back.

oh if it a in wall why not just go with a cheaper petco tank as you will not see it?
