Prime 16HD for 40 gallon C-Vue?

I have a Prime 16Hd that I originally bought for my Evo 13.5 gallon tank. I recently purchased a Cobalt C-vue 40 gallon tank. This tank is longer then it is tall and I wanted to see if a AI Prime 16HD would be ok for my 40 gallon tank and if anyone has used it on longer tanks. Thanks

24x24 with a lot of loss near the edges of this span. OK for LPS but SPS will need to be close to under the light, not near the edges
