Prime HD

Hi All,

I have a 90 gal tank, 3' x 2' x 2'. I have 2 Prime HDs, some anemones and just purchased by first hard coral. Can't remember the name but the store owner assured me it is an easy one. I was wondering if one of you folks who has a Prime would be willing to share your lighting map with me. I have no idea how long to leave them on, or the strength each light should be.

I would really appreciate any help you could offer.

People will have different schedules and intensity.
I have a Twenty six around 12 inches above with a glass canopy. This is what I have mine set to. Hope it helps.

You can also go to facebook as there is an ai group that has lots of lighting schedules. I have ai lights and belong to this group and folks there are very helpfull.

That’s a nice schedule. How the coral growth, and can you share it?

I have mostly LPS Like hammers, duncans, acans, elegance....they grow slower but at a fair pace. I have a few sps a birdnest which grows okay and a hollywood stunner that I bought around 1 month and 1/2 and has doubled in size since then.

Here is mine. I used David Saxby’s schedule for AI and tinkered with it, primarily reducing white and adjusting uv and blues etc (his white was at 50%+ for a long time, which in my case caused algea bloom and I didn’t like too much white anyway). My zoas, blasto, mushrooms, duncan etc seem to like it.

Hi i have two ai primes. I’m looking to buy two prime hd. I’m thinking of 3 lights on display 2 hd and one regular prime. The fourth I’ll use for my sump tank. What are your thoughts? Should I go a different route? Am I wasting my money? The two original ai prime are great so far . I really don’t have a great coral growth history with them tho. I am still learning about how to keep corals. Any thoughts? I have a 55 gallon long display. I really want to step up my game on coral growth.
