Priming a Blueline external pump

Is any of the pvc glued together? Wondering if the glue may be blocking somewhere?

Thanks, Mar344 I just tried that again. I water all the way from the RO/DI tank to the saltwater barrel. I can open the valve intended to collect water change water and fill a bucket easily. Any other place there may be an airlock?

Yes, Trigger Finger. It is all glued together and taken apart via unions. I might be sloppy, but not that sloppy I hope.

Can you try to manually fill the pipe that goes to your salt water barrel and then turn the pump on.

Is the pump brand new? Did you remove the grey plugs from the suction and pressure openings on the volute? I have forgotten to do that a few times and guess what, pump doesn’t work lol.

( I should have just removed the pump at the unions but I was too frustrated to think of doing it the easy way.) Sure enough, you were right. Who knew? It now does what it is supposed to do according to plan. Thanks to all who provided their expertise and advice. Amy, could this be your problem too?

Incredibly easy to miss .... particularly because it’s not noted in the instructions .... in fact the last few PanWorld/blue line pumps I got didn’t have instructions at all.

Now i don't feel so bad. Thanks for that, ca1ore. Mine had no instructions at all either. All is well that ends well and perhaps someone else will learn from this too. It does seem to be a well made little pump.
