Hey guys, new to R2R and new to the hobby. Recently was given a hand-me-down 45 gal. HOB setup from my dad. Tank has been up for a little over a month with live rock, live sand and cycled. Current inhabitants are a small CUC (3 astrea snails, 3 margarita snails, 4 blue leg hermits, and an emerald crab) and 2 small Ocellaris clowns (1 black, 1 orange). Current Parameters are Temp: 78F, pH: 8.2, Ammonia: 0, Nitrite: 0, Nitrate: 5, Salinity: 1.024, Alk: 9.8, Cal: 410, Mag: 1320. Upgraded the HOB filter to use my own media instead of the cartridges = Seachem Tidal. My current light setup is just a double fluorescent and an older model fluval aquasky with just the remote. I'm looking at the Reef Octopus Classic 90 Hang-on-Back Protein Skimmer and the Prime 16 HD LED Reef Light - Black Body - Aqua Illumination for my next purchases. What other equipment should be on the list and in what order would be the most beneficial?

#WelcometoR2R!!! An ATO is always a good choice for stability.

Also love this thing.

Yes auto top off is a great purchase I also like ink bird temp controllers as another initial buy. They are cheap and give you peice of mind. Welcome to the comunity

+1. Temp controllers are another good choice - way too many tanks get needlessly damaged by faulty heaters.
