Private Forums

To gain access to the private forum......

In a day or two the private forums will be reset, well the users rather. When this happens you will need to request to join the private group. I will have instructions on doing this when the time comes. We have allot of people able to view the private part of the forums that should not be viewing it, like members from other clubs still left over from when we were talking about the swap.

Just a heads up for when you can't see it anymore, look here for more info.

Josh the private forum is set up in the club section - it is there so the individual club can talk about club business in private - like club accounts, group orders etc. Thats all

As stated the access will be reset and only members will have access to the private forum. I will do this after the january meeting. At that time only members of the chattanooga reef club will have access. So if you have not paid your dues then you will not have access. From that point forward the private forum is where we will post group buys (which wil only be available to club members), specials offered only to club members, etc. We will still do most of the general posting in the public forum - just all the goodies will be discussed in the private forums. And I hope to bring lots of club goodies to everyone this year. Looking forward to see everyone at the meeting saturday.

Hey yea Josh, a few of the clubs have a private section for club use only. A place where they can post info thats not needed to be seen by the public. I can and will do this for any club that wants to have a home here.

Ok everyone has been removed from the private forums as I do not know who has paid and who has not. Now it's going to be up to Patrick and Brian to approve people into the private forums as they know who should be allowed.

To gain access you need to of course be a member of the Chatt reef club and then go here to sign up:

I really don't know if they're wanting to do the recip program anymore... I brought it up at one of the BOD meetings and it was fairly well shot down... I'll bring it up at our club meeting to see what's up though... We need to have another joint meeting though... Those are always fun!!!

it was my understanding that they never would do a recipricatory membership? kinda stupid if you ask me. I cant think of why they wouldnt? its free money they wont get otherwise. I really dont care, just out of curiousity what are you thinking it will do for you dave to join?

I think the stance most had up here was that it doesn't do much good to do reciprocal memberships... None of us really go travel back and forth in order to take advantage of the discounts up here or down there, so why bother... I didn't really care either way... Like Bryan said... More money in the coffers...

Spy on what? the way I look at it , I buy a recipricatory membership with altanta every year. I have yet to ever use that membership. and they pocket money from me for nothing. So to me it is funny when other clubs dont want to do it. I dont see why? I figure they think that me or david would pay full price to join if they dont offer a recipracatory price. but I dont see that happening! who knows. I would like to hear from those board members that appose it, like maybe a reason? Im really curious if there is something that the atlanta club and our club is missing here?

lol Its fun to see whats going on in other clubs... Especially when you know the others in the club... I'm always posting with you guys, MTRC, and the NARC, not to mention CTARS up in CT... I figure you all can always tell me to bugger off if need be...

The only reason that I was told was that no one wouldn't take advantage of it, so why have it... But as I said, I'll bring it up again amongst the entire club, since it would take a 2/3 vote for approval anyways... Theres a lot of bureaucracy in our club...

sounds like it dude, but here is a good question, if they dont think anyone would take advantage of it, then why would it get brought up? and why would they say no? they have everything to gain by saying yes. Funny when you think about it! I think its funny how serious some people seem to take the role of a board member! it a dang reef club dude! get a life! HEHE!!
