Bio S, Pro Bio S, Pro Bio F and NP pro...

I'm having a little difficulty and figuring out which ones I need for this program. Could someone please give me a quick tutorial on the proper use and which ones work in conjunction with the other? I have the Pro Bio S on the way and was told I need the NP pro as well.

But I also read that the Pro Bio F or Pro F as listed on Stone Aquatics should be used in conjunction with Pro Bio S...just a little confusion i'd like to clear up.

Thanks

The main two are the bacteria (Pro Bio S), and the media (NP Pro) which feeds the growth of the bacteria being dosed daily. The Pro Bio F is a powder form of different strains of bac as well as the media for growth all in one. Many guys with smaller systems are opting for this option. The Bio S aids in the de-nitrification process during tank start ups and lowers ammonia. It can also be used when introducing new fish.

NP Pro and Pro Bio S are meant to work together. An are in a liquid from so you can use a doser to add them to your tank. You can use Pro Bio F but it can not be added on the same day as Pro Bio S.

What is the benefit of adding the Pro Bio F?

How do you get around the fact that Pro Bio S is the only supp they have that needs to be refrigerated?

Pro Bio S that's bacteria so You can keep it in freedge but You don't have to if temperature in Your room is between 22-24 Celsius degrees ( 71.6ºF - 75.2ºF)

I see other people adding pro bio f and pro bio s on the same day, why can't they be used together, same day? I ask because I just purchased full line of products for my tanks. The guide showed both, so I bought both.

ProF and ProBioF are both carbon sources for Aquaforest probiotic bacteria. Different strains likes different diet. ProF contains groups of alcohols and sugars, ProBIoF is a type of organic carbon loved by our bacteria. Both product can be use every other day.

Problem with to much carbon source it can lead to cyanobacteria

Thanks. Reading thread on other board on guy dosing both and had cyano problem. I think I'll stick with Np pro and Pro bio s and I might add Pro bio f once a week or so after running the system for a few weeks.

Yes I had to totally stop dosing AF to clear the Cyanobacteria from the tank.
Used Cyano clean and coral snow by KZ to do that. Will reset with less dosing. [emoji3]

Same happened to me. My nitrates dropped by half and then started to get either cyano or dinos. Some Zoas started to close so I had to stop. Was yours typical cyano? Mine is brown strings but not too much bubbles so not sure. Seems to be burning off since I stopped dosing, but not totally sure yet.

I'm going to start with 50 per of recommended dosing amount, maybe even a little lower after reading these cyano problems.

Is pro bio s the only one that needs to go in the fridge? The guide isn't clear on that.

Thanks.

There is not need to keep products in Fridge if Your temperature in room is lower than 24 Celsius degrees ( 75.2ºF)
If You want to You can keep Pro Bio S, AF Phyto Mix.

Thank you. We keep the house at 77f during he day when we're not home, so that being the case I'll put the pro bio s in the fridge.
