I found an unopened bottle of "Pro Soda Ash" in the garage and was wondering if this stuff is safe to dose in the aquarium. It doesn't say much on the bottle about contents or purity. I can't find anything on the company. Does anyone know if this stuff would be worth trying?

BUT... I did find this online...

Why risk your coral, fish, etc for something that's so inexpensive to buy pure?

If you want to go real cheap, you can make soda ash yourself. Buy some arm and hammer baking soda. Spread it evenly in a baking pan and bake it at 450 degrees for 45 mins. That's it. Google Randy's DIY 2 part for more info
