Hello all! This is my first build thread here! I am in the process of replacing my waterbox reef 100.3 with a prostar 150! Shipping was a mess and the first tank I received was destroyed when I received it (see pics). I received the replacement for it yesterday (shoutout to proclear for there fast replacement) and I am officially beginning the process of moving everything from my current tank to me new one! I will be using most of the equipment from my waterbox and adding another power head and updating the lighting.

Congrats on the new tank! Keep us posted on how the tank transfer goes!

UPDATE! The tank has been officially moved in and the transfer is done!

How established was your 100.3? I am about to transfer a year and a half old standard 90 in to a Prostar 150 and I am nervous about the move. My whole tank is totally covered in coralline algae and other good stuff I don't want to lose in the transfer lol.

The 100.3 was about 2 years old! I would definitely recommend getting new sand for the transfer. Other then that I moved all the water from the old tank over and filled the rest with new saltwater. The coralline is most likely growing on your live rock so you should not have to worry to much about that. So far all my corals and fish are doing great in the new tank and I was able to do the entire transfer in 4 hours!

+1. How is the tank for you? I'm looking at getting a 90, and I want to hear other people's opinions on the quality of the tank and stand. Thanks!

The tank and stand are great quality! The only issue I had was the packaging and shipping as you can see in my first post. Thankfully they were quick with sending a replacement but I would recommend inspecting it ASAP.

Good to know! I have to put the 150 where my 90G currently sits, so everything will need to go in to stock tanks and then back in to the 150 when it's in place. my coraline is painted on almost ever surface in the tank haha. I have 1 whole side of the tank that is literally crusted over obscuring the glass entirely. I love the stuff :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
