Probably easy soft coral ID

I'm new to saltwater. Can someone please tell me what type of soft coral this is? Thanks!

That's a goniopora. It's not a soft coral, it's a very nice but sometimes hard to keep LPS stony coral.

Yep, that's a goniopora. Not a soft coral and not really a great coral for beginners. They can be finicky and some really need to be fed to thrive.

That's a "leave that thing at the LFS" coral

If you want to try something similar but easier try alveopora, also an LPS.

Yep, a goniopora, a real heartbreaker of a coral for many reefers. Absolutely gorgeous, but they can be very finnicky. Some people have great success with them, but for many people, they'll do fantastic for about six months before suddenly and inexplicably dying.
