Probably not an urchin but....

moved some rock around today and saw this underneath. Looked like an urchin but upon second glance it was not round like an urchin. Any ideas?

This is what I was gonna say. Lol. I have no idea what it is, but it's pretty cool looking!

Does it move at all? Open/close slightly or anything? Maybe some type of bivalve?

To me it kinda looks like a Nessarious snail with a growth on his shell

I have not seen any movement...I watched it for a few minutes before heading off to work this morning. I will watch it some more tonight.

Almost looks like a Nudi to me too.

Really bad pic. Does look a little like a nudi, but the spikes also remind me of a fuzzy chiton.

If you can investegates if it is real spines (hard ones) or only soft tissue - thats will help (but do not use your thumb
