Probe Lead Shielding

Hi All,

I'm just starting to put things together in my sump.

As I'm starting from scratch, I'm placing a fair bit of effort into cable and lead management.

My question is whether the magnetic field from electrical leads to pumps, skimmers, etc can have an adverse affect on readings from the probes that I have to go with the Profilux 4 if the leads pass near each other.

Is there sufficient shielding to not have to worry.

I run all sensor leads in a separate run from any loads

It is always best to keep sensor and probe cables away from power cables.

Depending on the wattage and efficiency of the power supply (lower efficiency tends to cause more interference), sometimes it can have an affect on the probe readings. In tight spaces, it's hard to avoid these cables not running alongside. For that reason, the ProfiLux has a signal filtering feature to help minimize possible disturbances.
