Probes Depth

Can someone tell me the minimum and maximum depth should the probes be in the water. I ask as I have an aquarium that does not have a sump so when I do a water change, the water obviously drops (about 3 inches) and I was wondering if I would need to keep moving the probes up and down when I empty and fill the aquarium.

The probes should be submerged at least 1" above the probe tip, but no higher than the probe head. This is how they should be positioned during normal operation. During water changes, it's alright it the probe(s) are exposed to air or water level rises above the probe head for a short while, 30 minutes or so. Of course if the probe tip is exposed to air, the readings will deviate so do keep that in-mind.

Thanks for the info. As I don't have the unit yet, can you tell me the length the smallest probe?

Temp, pH, Redox, and Conductivity are all the same length, 6.25" from the top to bottom.
