Good day @Randy Holmes-Farley,

I just stumbled across a thread where a R2R member is claiming success beating dinoflagellates using NOPOX as a means to sharply reduce nutrients via your advice to do so in with your article "problem dinoflagellates and ph".
considering the evolution and efficiency of modern equipment to scrub the water, would you still consider minimizing available nutrients as a viable means of eradicating dinos given the success of using elevated nutrients resulting in algae as competition?

thanks in advance!

That was written before strong nutrient reduction methods became more in use. Driving nutrients too low seems worse than higher levels for dinos. 0 nitrate, for example, is not good.
