Good morning to everybody.
I'm skat, an italian boy. I work in a coral and fish shop in Milan.
I've been raising clownfish for a long time. But now i have a problem.
In my aquarium i've a couple of Premium Picasso (female: Premium Picasso - male: Picasso Helmet),
that lay a lot of eggs but, unfortunately, only about 20 eggs are fertile... The couple is young, they have been laying for one year, but always with the same problem. There is not predatory in my tank.
Does someone know the reason?
thanks

Hello and welcome to R2R

#reefsquad can you help please

The breeding forum isn't very busy, especially when the weather warms up and people head outside for yard work. From what I've read, fertility issues often come down to proper nutrition.

Hi guys,
I feed them Twice daily with vitalis marine pellet and once a week with lobster eggs.
Do you think that is it not enough? Yes, they feed the eggs!

Welcome to the forum! I can't help a whole lot with breeding issues but as far as nutrition goes you should consider feeding them live or frozen foods. I'm not sure what products are available where you live but Lrs food is a great choice and adding vitamins like selcon and vita chem will all help to boost the fish's immune system and improve overall health

Hello Mjrenz, thanks you!
I love Lrs food, but in Italy is not available.
Increase then frozen food,
If this helps keep more eggs alive.
