I bought a hammer from a nice and seemingly very knowledgable guy who had a 15 year old 180 gallon reef. I am new and my Biocube 32 is now 4 months old but things have been going well and my parameters have been stable. The bottom of the hammer, which he had in his substrate is covered in these tiny feather dusters. Will these remain on the hammer? Will they stay small? Do they pose a potential problem? Should I remove them?

The aptasia at the bottom poses more of a problem than the feather dusters.

Okay what is the best method to remove it?
Take the rock out and scrape off the aptasia, then put either super glue or epoxy over the spot it was to prevent any leftover pieces from growing back

Okay, that seems to be the only one I can see but I will look better once I get it out. Feather dusters are okay to leave?
