Problem of the year...

My vote is a toxin. Run cuprasorb. Get the ATI water test or other. Sorry your having issues. How was the snow this year? Hopefully great.

Agree they wouldn’t die that fast, but are they actually dead after 24 hours? Polyp bailout isn’t the same as a polyp dying. It’s difficult to tell without specific details and information regarding the full system. You need to be able to rule out every possibility, and being specific helps a lot.

Pictures?
Sorry you post perfect parameters and say stable for 6 months. Give me a fts front tank shot. Ty

any coral wouldnt die this fast from lighting or issues other than parameter issues, i dont really even acclimate most corals anymore (other than temp),
I worry about a faulty rodi or misreading of some parameters which will be reflected in an icp test. Snails and clams wouldnt die this fast either, i think heavy metal or even maybe electricity like the other said. Thats the only thing that would kill invertebrates that fast and not effect fish as much.
I questioned the RODI system as well and purchased a brand new unit, installed and did a 100% water change over the week with the new RO/salt mix.

Put a hammer in and a mushroom and GSP and two snails and the next day all of them were dead. The hammer melted away within 12 hours and the mushroom closed up to a ball and then let loose.

What lights are those? Those appear to be seriously below what you'll need to keep corals alive. That tank also looks really white for being 6 months old.

I saw another that did the same with their rodi but as long as the unit channels water through each section and has good pressure initially the unit is fine, maybe just bad filters inside.
Have you taken all the pumps apart to look for cracks or rust?
Hopefully icp will reveal the issue

Current USA IC Dual PRO.

Im not sure what you mean by "white". With a par meter im still hitting 100 at the bottom of the tank. Ive put the same corals on bottom, mid and top of tank with same results. However inadequite lighting will not kill corals or invertabrates within hours.

+1 on stray voltage

Looks like the tank is in your garage or a shop...any contaminants in the air?
In my office in the basement and have tools there but I think unlikely for contaminants other than that.

Replaced the whole unit with brand new filters before changing out all the water in the DT and everything still dies when i put it in.

Replaced to brand new pumps and new hydor heaters.

Thats all it seems to be pointign towards. Ill keep you posted on the test results.

It was an insanely great year here in spite of the circumstances!

+1 to run cuprisorb for a couple days then check the hanna results again. Idk the acuracy on it but it shouldnt show any copper. Really hoping the ICP test comes soon and you can get concrete results

Kids and I skied 494” of Alta fluff this year. Thanks to COVID and virtual school I packed up and drove to Utah with the fam for eight weeks. And it pounded weekly, 294” while we were there. The icing on the cake is my sps system looked great when I got back.

Did you get some of the tank issues resolved? Or start cuprasorb? Whenever I’m having issues I run cuprasorb as a preventative just Incase. I have had copper from a blown out magnet.

There is no algae or coralline on the rocks. Are you adding anything to the water? I would expect some green and some coralline to start. Great looking tank.

Have you done an ICP test? Also stray voltage is alarming could be a heater / wave maker as you tested , everything plugged into GFCI? I would also get a ground probe for the tank
I 2nd the ICP test idea, because all the home test kits have very high tolerance and will not fo a good job detecting heavy metals.
You can go with either the Triton ICP or CoralVue ICP tedt.
The CoralVue is US based so faster turnaround time and cheaper.

You are experiencing Rapid Tissue Necrosis. It's caused by Philaster Lucinda and Philaster Guamense parasites usually. Overdosing ferric oxide....there's a lot of things really.

No offense that tank looks like it was setup yesterday. You should have loads of "gunk". lol. I have so many copepods in my tank they condense on the bio film on the glass and it looks like snow patches. The nano (12 gallon) in question is like 2 months old.

I'd be dipping corals and then QT them in a separate tank. I would also just stop "throwing stuff in". Seems reckless. Nothing happens fast in the reefer dome. Good luck.

I see 0 nitrates, and that it was a 6 month cycle, did you feed the tank for 6 months? I would add ammonia and see if cycles out in 24 hrs
