I am currently setting a tank up and having 1 issue after another. it is like Murphy is after me(murphy's law). i have almost reached the point that i don't even want to set it up. Just curious to hear some of the other issues people have had setting up tanks and what they did to fix the problem. for example, my current tank has had a bulkhead spring a leak twice. i don't have overflow boxes so i had to empty the tank twice to replace the bulkhead. i have a 300g aquarium...... When i was setting the tank up i got it on the stand life was good. the next day i went to put my sump in and found out i couldn't. had to spin the aquarium so i could cut a hole in the end of the stand to slide the sump in. filled it up and lost power only to find out my sump couldn't hold as much water as the tank drained during the outage. while it was running found out i have a leak between the 2 tanks i am using as a sump. i am still working some of the issues out, but i think you get the idea.

Yes sometimes you run into problem after problem setting up a new aquarium! I hate it!

Where is your bulkheads located?

I made a return with 2 outlets out of PVC when I turned on my return pump it was leaking. Had to cut it up to fix it. Then a few days ago the hose from the pump to the PVC return blow off and drained my sump and now my ph probe is messed up.
