I'm setting up a mixing station with a Norwesco 65 gallon upright tank I picked up today. The bulkhead fitting that came pre-assembled with the tank seems to be a 1 1/4" FPT. Initially, to get me going quick, I want to set it up with a valve (ball or gate) so I can just fill a container for water changes. However, I've looked on BRS, Marine Depot and even local HD and could not find any 1 1/4" MPT valves nor fittings. The only fitting I found in that size was a garden hose adapter in the sump section:

Everbilt 1-1/4 in. Polypropylene MIP Garden Hose Adapter

Any ideas where I can pick up this type of valve? Or even a 1 1/4" MPT reducing elbow to attach a smaller valve?

The internet says it's

Outlet / Drain 11-1/4" PP Female NPT Bulkhead Fitting
You should be able to find parts at Home Depot. 1 1/4 is a little used size so the kinds of fittings are limited.

You should find other sizes as well.

That one is not for potable water, would think you want to use parts that are designated for potable use.

Only one I could find on the HD website is out of stock. Batting 0!

Savko is the bomb. Be sure to look at what else they offer too. I only linked this one because it was a quick draw.

i don't know where you are located , but i work in the piping trades, and the same supplier that sends 3000 pound pieces of steel pipe to the job also sells sch 80 plastic grey piping and fittings! a lot of time places like brs buy fittings and pipe from a distributor and mark up the price. the on lot downfall is that they require you to buy the whole 21 foot length.
