Problem with Palythoa (pictures)

My Palythoa has looked like this for a while. I'm not sure if that is sand attached to it, or if it is zoapox.
Any idea what it is or how to fix it?

Those look like button polyps and they will sometimes close like that. How many days has it been?
 
Looks like they have some white spots on their outside skin, if so then they have a fungus on them. I have had them on my palys once, if you do a 1min freshwater dip in RO water it should kill the fungus off

this type of polyps have a sandy outside.
