After changing the membrane on my RO unit, the unit fails to turn off completely, i.e. the gauge registers around 5-10 psi and water continues to exit the unit. Tried reseating the membrane with no luck.

In order to have the unit shut down completely I have to disconnect the line feeding the membrane housing in order for the water stop.

Unit is connected to an Avast ATO. Normally once the ATO container is full, the electronic solenoid trips shutting off the pump and water supply. Since changing the membrane, everything shuts down but water continues to flow from the GOOD water line causing the container to overflow.

Sounds like the solenoid has failed? If the pump is shutting down - the solenoid should be closing. If the "good" water keeps on flowing - then the solenoid isnt shutting.

If the control device is shutting off the other items, it sounds like it could just be the solenoid has given up.

If the normally closed solenoid valve is allowing water to pass, this issue can often be addressed quickly and easily at no expense.
Unplug the solenoid valve and temporarily remove it from the system. Carefully disassemble the valve and you may find debris in the valve. Remove it, reassemble the valve and you're good to go. When solenoids fail we find this sort of problem about 50% of the time.

That's what I was thinking so I disconnected the line coming from the solenoid to the RO unit, unplugged the solenoid and there was no water coming from the solenoid but there was water coming from RO unit as if there is some type of back pressure building up in the unit.
