Problem with Salifert Mg test

Hi everyone. I just used my salifert mg test for the first time and the solution never changed color. I retested and got the same result. I was switching from Red Sea pro because salifert tests are easier to use IMO. Has anyone else had this problem?

Could be user error or your magnesium is off the chart brother. What's the expiration date?

Did you add more Titrant and continue the test past 1mL? Your mag is probably higher then a single test goes, luckily it's a pretty linear test so you can continue past a mL

The exp is 12/16. It's a brand new test. I just did the Red Sea pro and got 1320. Very strange. I have two other salifert tests so I know how to do them but user error does seem to make sense.

I am sorry. There have been times where i've tested mag three consecutive times and have gotten three different mag ppm's? Just test again and see what the results are.
