So, this is gonna be a bit hard since i'm going to resume my tank's 4 year history in a few words.
Basically, when i started saltwater, i thought i knew much, but indeed i knew nothing. That's what i learned the following 3 years.
I got myself some soft corals, zooanthids, and some species of soft coral i am yet to identify. The later i'v had for two years, under two T8's which probably didn't do them any good since one of the pair of corals became less than half of its original size meanwhile, and the other shrunk a just a bit. I'll talk about the zooanthids later.
Since i learned that the light was probably the problem with my corals, i got myself reefbreeder's value LED 120 fixture, now keep in mind at this time i hadn't seen the soft coral show more than 6 tentacles for some good months, in fact, i don't even know how the guy survived this long without extending his polyps, but continuing on, after i bought this light, he started to show some more polyps, which still don't fully extend, and there are still some polyps which refuse to extend and/or open, at this time both channels are at 30% so i thought maybe it was getting used to the new light, but then for about two weeks the situtation didn't change, he still didn't extend some of his polyps, and even the extended ones didn't open their tips, or go out of their hole more than 0.5 to 1 cm's. (they normally would extend up to 5 cm's) the zooanthids are recent, i got the around the same time i got the LED fixture. At first they openned up pretty well, but three days ago they suddenly closed, and seem to refuse to open once again, so i thought of turnning the light % a bit down, the whites are at 15% and blues at 26%, it has been like this since yesterday and the zoos still refuse to open up, since its been three days, i'm worried they might start dying.
Any help form anyone who's had similar issues?
Parameters that i have tested are calcium: 560 ( a bit high, but never seemed to cause any trouble ), Alk: 9, Phosphates: 0.5 ( now this is a troublesome one, altough i tested for this value 1 week ago and started doing weekly water changes to try to fix this problem, since i think this was the cause of death of my sps ) i haven't tested for any other parameters, so if you think one of those that are untested could be the cause of this please tell me which one.
