How does one go about feeding LPS corals mysis shrimp? Every time I try to do so the individual shrimps disintegrate and from its original frozen block, and I end up with a bunch of mysis floating around the tank instead of on the coral in its grasp. I currently use reef roids and want to graduate to feeding meaty foods to promote some increased growth. Perhaps there is a better solution than mysis shrimp?

What mysis are you using? I’ve never had that issue before.

Nice. That’s good stuff. Pe is good too, it’s a little bigger. Are you using tongs or a turkey baster?

I use a Syringe and 1/4" airline tubing, makes it really easy to spot feed and super cheap to put together. Might be harder to do in a deeper tank though.

What lps are you trying to feed? I've never had much luck feeding euphyllia large food but they do seem to react positively to reef roids. Other lps should feed easy enough but you need to get them into feed mode or feed at night when they are actively feeding all ready.

a wide range of brain/favia species as well as a frogspawn, also receiving a purple big polyp blasto in the mail tomorrow and quite excited :D

I mix reef roids/ mr chili and a block of Hikari mysis shrimp in a small cup and let it thaw, then I turn off my pumps and use a turkey baster and individually feed my blastos, acans, fungia, and such.
