Problems with Bi-Color Blenny (Stylophora)

I just got a small Stylophora frag a couple weeks ago and I'm noticing my Blenny gumming it on a regular basis. Is this normal for this fish? The tissue just seems to be going away each day. I have other sps corals in this tank and have never had a problem. I've has the Blenny for almost a year now too. Thanks.

sometimes if there isn't enough algae in the tank bicolors will munch on some corals, it isn't super uncommon. If you have any try feeding some seaweed, that might help with that issue

Yeah, the tank is pretty spotless as far as nuisance algae goes, but I do feed once a day, sometimes ALOT... Just thought it was kind of odd, this coral as opposed to the others. TY.

My bicolor did the same thing. Ended up killing my birdsnest and stylo.

Escenius blennies are notorious for nipping.

Do you feed nori in your tank? Is their sufficient algae for grazing?

I have found that all my blenny's, current and past, do not nip at corals or clams when nori is available for when they want a little snack.

My experience as well and normally it starts with one coral and spreads to others.
