Hooked it up next to my 66g s/w tank with rear sump a few days ago using a tunze 24v power supply instead of the included 12v which almost doubles the gph to 526. Put in a little bigger than golfball size chaeto. Today i noticed the chaeto is smaller than what i started with. strands of it are getting out of reactor and ending up in intake strainer of my Aquamaxx HOB 1.5 skimmer and my 2 return pumps.
Plus the chaeto stops spinning a few times per day and have to fiddle with the dc pump to get it spinning again which is pita. I thought chaeto is suppose to stay 'crumbled' together?
Anyone else have this reactor and problems with losing (a bunch)strands of chaeto and spinning problems? Maybe i should have bought either Pax Bellum or Reef Octopus reactors!
