Hey I was wondering if anyone had a good YouTube video or article on how to properly do the TTM? I have a tang in QT right now being treated with copper but it sounds like TTM is a lot easier but I’ve never done it before! Looking to get some insight on that method! Thanks in advance guys!!

Okay I got a little more insight on how to do this. My next question is

Do you guys recommend I treat with copper and prazipro in both tanks while doing this?

I never treat with copper when doing TTM and use Prazipro on 2nd and 4th tanks.
Just remember that TTM works for ich but not for anything else so it is a good idea to observe for a few weeks after finishing TTM before putting in the display.

Gotcha! So actually one thing that I couldn’t really get any info on or see in any of the videos.. when I go from tank 1 to tank 2, do I empty, dry and refill tank 1?

If I had to Qt again, I’d do Cu or cupramine or whatever, TTM is tedious and has failed on a couple of occasions for me and people I know. Better yet might be Cu and TTM.

You empty, completely dry tank 1 and all items in it after the transfer to tank 2. You cant reuse anything from tank 1 in tank 2. all items need sterilization and drying to kill ich.

So components of tank 1 stay with tank 1 and same goes for tank 2 components?

Here’s the dirty little secret that no one talks about.
No matter what QT method you use. Ammonia needs to always be checked over and over again. Once it’s high or getting high water changes are required. So keep extra saltwater on hand. You’ll be using a lot of it. Don’t forget if your using cp, copper, PraziPro etc. it needs to be added back in.
