Ive been using prodibio biodigest, and bioptim. They work great, so I got some other Prodibio products. I got Stronti+ and Iodi+, but whenever I dose these, it makes my leather corals all close up for weeks at a time. Should I stop with the dosing? I dont have any SPS or LPS in the tank, just softys. It seems everytime I dose the Stronti+ and Iodi+ my leathers corals and my xenia dont like it. Zoas and gsp seem fine. But leathers they shrivel up for about 2 weeks. Kinda confused...

How frequently do you do water changes? You may not need to dose them depending on this (however a test kit such as the trace kit from red sea may be handy). Also, do you dose directly into the display tank? If so, that might irritate them if it does not diffuse or dissolve in time.

Its a 40 breeder display, no sump so dose direct to tank. I do a 3 gallon water change everyweek.

Try dosing into the filter intake if you can. I have a feeling you may not need to dose those too frequently so a test might be handy. Do you dose once a week?

No, Its 1 vial every 15 days as the instructions say.

the thing with dosing instructions saying x amount per y days is that every tank is different. You may not be using as much as it recommends. My guess is that your levels rise and irritate the corals, then goes down and they open back up. I can't say that this is certain but is is my guess. Your water changes may be providing enough.
