I was actually going to order some shortly to soak my Nori for Tangs....A few reefers use it an dlike it. SO I was going to give it a whirl.

Do you know about Probiotic Systems (Bacterial Driven Systems)?

Generally speaking it's an alternative way to maintain and reduce nutrients in a system, rather than running a fuge, GFO, etc.

If used correctly, it works VERY well.

I recommend looking into the basics of these systems before diving in and buying all of the supplements. First, you start by reducing nutrients with the basic products to ULN levels (unless of course your already running an ULNS). Once you've reached ULN, you utilize Amino Acids to introduce necessary nutrients, and people sometimes utilize other trace elements, etc.

Prodibio (or any Bacterial Driven System) isn't an additive to toss into any tank for better SPS colors... there's much more to it.

I've run zeo in the past with great color but slow growth. Also, I didn't like the idea of the frequent testing and many different daily additions so I decided to try prodibio.

I just started a 30breeder and have been running a combo of things. The tank is young, only about 2 months.. so I don't have a whole lot of experience with the prodibio products yet. Everything is growing and looking well.

My additions:
biodigest, 1 vial monthly
reefbooster, 1/2 vile bimonthly
coral vitalizer 3x's a week
zeo aa's, K Fl, Fe, SP weekly (except reefbooster week)
.3ml 100 proof vodka daily

This along with heavy feeding and skimming has shown promising as all corals appear healthy.

I wish I had more info on the topic, but I'm just getting my feet wet with the prodibio approach and am running more than just that. I'll keep you posted if I see this thread pop up in the future.
