Anyone using these products? I just got a catalog from somewhere and see them in it. Bio Clean and Bio Digest and Iodi+ Reef Booster ect. They look pretty cool but they are a bit $$$.

Anyone have any experience with them care to chime in?

They are supplements and such. I got a Marine Depot catalog with a gift and saw them there. Little vials of liquid? Just interesting looking, have no idea if the work or what?

i wouldn't bother with that stuff, seems like a waste of money to me, similiar to zeovit

The only stuff I add is limewater for my top off, and the occasional calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium supplements (all home made).

I'm skeptical of adding anything else. There is no miracle in a bottle solution to make your corals grow. Light, water, flow, and time are the keys.

Ok. not messing with them at all. I'lll stick t my Seachem powders and Bionic CA and ALK solution

Alot of people over at ARC including myself have started using prodibio since they came and spoke at our last meeting. All of us have noticed that the water has cleared up and we don't have as much algea growth on the glass. I am using the Prodibio nano reef kit in my 14g tank. Have only dosed twice, but the colors are great in my corals and my water is crystal clear. Here is a link of what it can do over a long period of time.

It'a a little expensive, but if it can get color and growth like this it is worth it. Also you don't have to dose it as much as zeovit.

I don't know anything about prodidbio but I do find it slightly amazing that the only proponent for the stuff on this forum (so far) joined today to chime in on the stuff.
Anybody else used it????

I didn't join today just to chim in on this subject. I just ran across the thread. I just thought I would give my 2 cents on the subject, but atleast I added something to the thread of benefit.

These were some of the most asked questions that we had in my local reef club and how the company responded to them.

1. Will Bio Digest have any effect on macro algae like Chaetomophia?
Bio Digest and Bioptim are used for spread of algae depriving them of food. However they are not chemical reagents. They reduce nitrates, phosphates, carbohydrates. Prodibio will not kill a macro-algae.

2. Will stopping the use of kits have any effects on the overall system, i.e., make the tank cycle?
If you stop to use the kits, the bacterial population of the tank won’t be optimized like in a tank which no products has been used. The optimal proportions of key bacterial strains won’t be re established, there will be an imbalance. There will be no cycle of a tank from stoping using the product.

3. Is it safe to dose everything in the Bio Kit at once or do you need spread out each vial so they do not interact?
There is no danger to dose everything in the Bio Kit at once. You just have to spread out each vial one by one.

4. What products do I need to turn my skimmer off for and for how long ?
When the use of the Reef Booster: shut down the skimmer at night before going to sleep and put the product in your tank. In the morning, you can turn on the skimmer. None adjustment should be make.
It is better to use this product from a 150 Litres system if there is a lot of corals and live rocks: use the half vial the first day and the other half 3 or 4 days later. During this 3 or 4 days wait, put the half vial in the fridge.

5. Is there a risk of overdose on any product?
There is no risk of overdose but it is better to follow the bellow instructions for each product:

6. What form of Iodine do you use?
We use two kind of Iodine : Iodide and Iodine.

Sweet. Thanks for the update and the link to the RC thread. That guys tank is INSANE!!!!!!!!!! I'm interested to see if anyone else here in the states and on this forum have used it with good results. I may use it in my frag tank as it is currently not hooked up to my display. Thanks again for the useful info!!
