Are email notifications available now for the P4? If they are, how do I set them up? All the threads I find on this were from earlier this year saying they would be available in a later update. I see the section in gcc for email notifications, just not sure how to get them set up?

Following. Yes there are settings inside P4 that can set your email and server etc. I got my P4 yesterday but I haven't figure out how to set it. would be nice if someone provide some help.

@coweyes298 - My setup is below :)

You would Click on Domain Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com
My Name: Your name
My Email Address: <Youremail [email protected]>

Username: <Youremail [email protected]>
Password: <Your gmail email password>

Settings from Software:
gmail_2.jpg

No I do not have the text module, and it not needed for me:

I am on Verizon so I you can send the alerts via email [email protected] (You would put that email address in recipient list)

Text Alert:

Thank you! Gonna try this tonight

I have had no issues at port 25, the above config has worked for me.

Sorry. I suggested it due to not being successful with 25. Try 25 and if it works, great. If not hopefully the other will work for you.

Well I got it to work once through a test notification, but now I can't get it to go through again? Also I have tried to setup alarms, but when I pulled the temp probe to trigger alarm, no email was sent.

Very strange I was able to get it to work one time, didn't change anything, and couldn't repeat the successful test. I may need to shoot a direct email or post in the ghl forum later when I have more time to mess with it.

Thank you for the help so far @Ditto !

I've tried the 3 different ports, and lots of the different "options" for how and when the email notifications are supposed to be sent. After I put <> around my email address and hit test I was able to get one email through with all of my stats on my probes. When I hit test again I got nothing. Been tinkering with it to no avail.

The <> are not required.

Would be ex: [email protected]m

Sorry for the confusion.

All good, I tried that as a last resort. For some reason it's not working? What mailing condition do you select for the test email? What dose cyclic actually mean? Also do you select 0.00 for send interval?

Sorry, I'm sure it's something else I have wrong, just can't figure it out. Have no idea how I got one to come through perfectly? Lol

I also allowed the less secure access already

This is what is most frustrating, that it actually worked once. I wonder if it is some communication error or something. Maybe I should restart the p4?

Below are two of my notifications:

You should be able to highlight any one of the notifications then hit test for the two above if I hit test it either goes to my Verizon phone, or my nycap.rr.com account from gmail.

Awesome, I got it all working perfectly, including texts to my phone. Thank you for your help @Ditto!

I kept reading over the instructions here...
http://forum.aquariumcomputer.com/s...ail-sending-with-ProfiLux-4&p=76073#post76073

I had to do the unlocking gmail thing from the computer in which I have GCC installed on. The unlocking thing found in the above instructions as well as here...
https://accounts.google.com/b/0/DisplayUnlockCaptcha (when I clicked this through my phone it did not work, so I used the same computer GCC is on and had success)

Also for AT&T customers, you can send the email alerts through text using your 10 digit phone number followed by @txt.att.net. For example, 5551234567@txt.att.net.

how do you access the email notification settings in myghl? I'm running 7.08 with the latest myghl version and I don't see the tab for the email settings.

It's only on GCC as far as I'm aware.
