Profilux 4 firmware update - HELP

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to do a firmware update on my Profilux but I am having no luck whatsoever!

I am able to access the GHL app on my phone and track things see values, edit things etc. But I am 100% unable to access my account on a PC that I bought today, solely for working with the GHL system (I am a Mac person). I have never done a firmware update (got my system in April 2023).

The GHL app on my PC says it cannot connect to the profilux. I have an ethernet cable connecting the profilux to the laptop. My IOND is not setup as everytime I try to enable the IOND and click save it goes immediately back to not enabled.

All lights are flashing blue, no error messages.

Please help.

Hi - there is no ethernet connection.

You will need to connect to it via USB with GHL Control Center.

I thought all the GHL devices were connected using ethernet cables?

The cables are RJ45 but the bus/protocol has nothing to do with Ethernet and is not at all compatible. It is the PAB bus (a serial CAN-BUS protocol) that GHL devices communicate over.

USB is what you need to connect to the computer for the firmware update. It's very straightforward to update when its connected. RJ45 (what looks like ethernet) is for stringing devices together

Is it possible to send an image or a link of what I need?
I need to do two things:
1) Do a firmware update
2) Figure out why every time I change the IOND to enable. As soon as I click Save it goes back to not enabled. First time setting it up.

Is it ok to leave the IOND probe sitting in RODI water until I get this all fixed? I’m so afraid of it getting damaged.

Thank you! I got the cable and it worked for the firmware.
Seems I have to recalibrate all the probes now for pH and salinitiy etc.

However, with the IOND I do not know what is happening. When I try to Prepare measurement cell. It seems like pressure builds up inside the chamber and it pops out or escapes around the probe, air and water start leaking out around the probe.

I did. Chatting with Vinny about it. I really do not know what I am doing wrong with this.

Measurement cell can not be pressurized water flows in and out at same rate. I use sicce .5 on mine with 1/2 inch plumbed from the pump to the Cell and is directed back to the beginning of the sump with 1/2 inch.

Huh? ION-D does not use an exteranl pump it uses one of the GHL dosing heads form the companion (required) doser.

Are yoiu talking about the GHL probe holder where you put your various profilux probes? OP is talking about the ION-D measurement cell.

You have to back up your settings before you do any updating or u will have to recalibrate every time.
