I have just started to use one of these Stand alones myself and have found a cool feature that I hadn't mentioned.

These Standalones can control up to 8 pumps. YES, an additional standard Profilux doser can be plugged into a standalone for full control of 8 pumps!

Great for auto dosing of the balling method leaving 5 pumps for auto dosing of your Fauna Marin, auto topoff, or auto water change. 1ml is the smallest possible dose, 60ml a minute max!

These dosers rock! I don't have the stand-alone, I use the model that connects to my Prof. Plus II, but I'm extremely pleased with them. Been in operation for 6+ months without a hiccup!
