So, I’ve been trying to find anything I can on these guys and so far it’s only been their max size and tank size. So, what would you guys say the minimum care for these should be?
Also I would like to know:
Natural diet, care level (Compared to other butterflies and which one you would compare it to), life expectancy ect… essentially the basics like the title says.

I kept 4 of them in a Caribbean biotope. I thought they were hardy fish, and ate everything I offered. They did not bother any stony corals, and ate aiptasia, which was why they were introduced.

I had one years ago. It ate feather dusters and zoas. Being a deeper water fish, it did not like bright lights. When the lights were at full power, it stayed in the shadows.

They’re perhaps the smallest butterfly or among the smallest, I would expect 10cm-12cm maximum size. I’m not sure at what depths they’re collected but they might be more abundant in moderate / deeper waters. Other than that not sure about their care requirements. pcon, a member who used to be here, owns one and it’s still doing well. His setup is run at a slightly lower temperature than most people’s due to his focus on deepwater butterflies (he also owns a Roa Modesta, Burgess, and more recently a Marcellae) and he had trouble getting this species to readily take captive food at first, plus it was very shy. It took time to adapt. He had an easier time with the Roa Modesta when it came to feeding at first than P. Aculeatus. Not sure if his experience is the norm.
