I’m trying to get this right before my controller gets here I’m wanting to dose 20ml of each component I’m going g to dose the alk at night when lights out starting at 2am. Then the calcium during the day. Here is what I have and I would like for you all to see if I’m reading this correct.

Start alk at 2am

Dow :smtwtfs
Start time : 2am
On duration : 00:01:00
Off duration: 00:59:00
Repeat count : 10
Occilate :off
Random :no

Last I checked my 1.1 ml dosers actually push around 2.0ml a minute. So I see it like this

The program is running every day coming on at 2am and running for a minute then has a off duration for 59 minutes and repeats this 10 times which on turn gives me 20ml.

Is this correct?

From my understanding this looks correct. So over the course of 10 hours every hour for one minute it'll dose 2ML for a total of 20ML in a 24 hour time period.
Thank you for posting this as I just picked up an RKL+ and am considering getting dosers instead of manually dosing my 2 part every morning :)

Ok cool you see it the way I do. Hopefully were correct lol. I got this for my dosers and mainly the heater. I had a apex and thought I could live without one and found out quick when my temp swung and killed my starfish and then I had to start manually dosing again. I don’t really mind it until I have to go on a trip. So it’ll be good to be controlled again.

Maybe someone with this setup will chime in so we can verify.

You want it to run 11 times? Also be carefull with small pumps like the BRS doser. Make sure it is turning off correctly before commiting it to dosing.

Yes, what this does is over the course of 24 hours itll do small amounts of dosing instead of dumping the whole 20ml at one time:)

Just making sure. If I remember correctly that programming will run 11 times on the RKE or RKL and 10 times on the Archon.

Good input thanks I’m gonna run them on channel 1&4 and that should help. But I will make sure of then shutting off first. Thank you

Also if for some reason the unit is reset or turned off it will not start again until the start time. This can cause up to 24 hours without dosing. You can split it up into two timers on the RKL, 4 timers on the RKE and three timers on the Archon. That way it will only miss the dosing on one timer and start back up on the next timer. Just use the multi-timer function.

I can’t program the modules on my reef 2.0 because the pb 4 is greyed out and won’t let me click it. When I click setup it wants to setup the head unit. What am I doing wrong. I also bought another pb4 and hooked it all up and the head unit only has one blue light lit up for the module. Like it’s not reading the other one.

What version of myReef are you using? The older versions may not reconize the PB4. Did you update the firmware in your new PB4? If so are you sure you updated with pB4 firmware and not PC4. They are not the same processors so the firmware is not compatible. Which module is the RKL seeing, the new one or the old one?

If I remember correct it said something like 2.09 and do recall that it said pb4. I update the head unit on its own with the sid connector then did both pb4 individually. When I hooked it all up I could see the head unit but it only showed one pb4 but it was greyed out. Both pb4 modules are new.

One thing I did notice and don’t understand the head unit said firmware 2.09 and the pb4 said 2.06 or 2.08 they were different than the head unit.

All modules have their own firmware. They are not all updated as frequently. So the numbers are not going to be the same. If they are version 2.xx they should work. Also none of the firmware has been updated in a long time. It should not need to be updated. When you look at the PB4 with myReef does it call it a PB4 or a PC4? What is the myReef version do you have on your computer?

It’s the my reef 2.0.83. And it says pb4. I made sure to update the head unit and both modules independently then hooked the head unit to bus one on the first module then used the “jumper” bus cable from bus two to bus one on the second pb4 then the itemp probe comes out the bus 2 port of the second pb4.

Should it have two blue module lights come on the display head unit? I would think it should.

Did you do a reset to factory defaults after the firmware update? This will erase all programming, but it needs to be done after a firmware update of the head unit. Another thing is the head unit only allow 4 modules. The thing is it remembers the modules even after they are removed. A reset to factory defaults will clear this memory also. You do have the current myReef.
