Hello everyone, I'm here for the apex programming, I wanted to include the moon phases in the night program by having a dedicated channel as night blue. however the same channel is also used during the day and currently at night I make the blue LEDs go to 40%. I tried to read on the forum but I can't find the programming I need as indicated. I don't have the lunar module but I would like to use the blue channel or some other white channel. Is this what I'm looking for possible? Thanks for your help

I can’t help with the specific question but I can bump the thread to see if we can get you some attention

What lights are you using?
How are you controlling/programming them?
I can't think of anyway to get phases without the LSM. The calculation changes rise/set/intensity on a daily basis. The LSM makes those calculations, not the Apex.

well, thank for your help, I use a led aquatronica lamp, I have a handcrafted control unit that converts the apex signals of the VDM and sends them to the lamp. I make work it as any lamp with sunrise / sunset ramps and with the 4 color and night channels. I would like to have cloudy days and lightning too but I don't undestand how to do it correctly.
For the moon phases I wanted to integrate the program on the blue channel that I use for the night or I can do it with the white LEDs
this is the program for every day

Ok, this is a tough one that I can't give a straight answer too. Especially with the custom interface.

For the clouds, I see there is a "weather" profile in profiles that I think should be able to apply variability to the 0-10V to give the effect. Look into that. You have to learn and understand how to apply profiles.

For the moon, I would just get a LSM with it's LEDs. Using LEDs for moon from a fixture generally doesn't work well because they are too bright. I use the LSM with the two string on a 120 gallon, and it seems about right. I don't see any way to calculate moon rise/set/intensity with the Apex to follow real life. I guess if there was a way, there would be no need for an LSM.

thanks for the help, ok I understand, yes for the profiles I have read how they can be created and in the week if I have time I try. To adjust the 1-10v values there is no problem with this control unit everything works as a compatible apex lamp. Ok to take the LSM module, it was not to not take it but to not put LEDs attached to the lamp that would already have its moon signal. My tank is around 200gal. in the next days I will put some photos. thanks again for the advice
