Well pretty much to sum it up I finally broke down and invested in a apex el for my nano 24 cube. Well I’m pretty lost for the most part and use it in its most basic form I'm sure. Well either way I’m getting ready for a week long vacation coming up and pulled out the old reliable eheim feeder. What I need is for my return pump to turn off at 1055am and come back on at 1110am. Normal I would of just used the mechanical timer but figured if I spent this much on a apex it should be able to handle this. So how in the heck do you make it shut off for 15 mins a day?

thanks in advance
Matt

Go to that outlet and set control type to advance and use a code like this

Fallback ON
Set ON
If Time 10:55 to 11:10 Then OFF

Agree with above. This article has more info on programming

Keep in mind that the If Time values are inclusive, so the code above will actually turn off the output for 16 minutes.

Thanks for linking to my article. This is actually part 7 of an 8-part series. I'd recommend the original poster start with part 1, then review part 2 on Timers:

Part 1 Introduction
Part 2 Timers
Part 3 Automatic Top-Off Kit (ATK)
Part 4 Power Monitoring
Part 5 Virtual Outputs
Part 6 Alarms
Part 7 Feed Cycles
Part 8 Lunar Schedule and Lighting Profiles (Conclusion)

Thanks guys 15 or 16 mins won’t make any difference but I do understand in some it would. I googled my question and it pulled up the same article that the Samina linked. Can’t lie I was lost but plan on reading the series. Thanks for posting it suncrestreef.

you really don't need to turn off the return during feeding...… easiest solution....
I’ve tried test feeding manually a few times and probably 40% of the food keeps going down the overflow. Just seems a waste

This look correct?

Thanks a ton guys. No point in nitpicking on my time it’s just a gap for my fatties to eat before it all goes into the filter floss. I do appreciate it everyone and plan on reading that series over coffee tomorrow.

Next issue to figure out in my ato. Just started this tank a few months ago and been manually topping it off. Just haven’t had the funds to buy a ato yet. Have a Tunze on my big tank but was thinking of trying a Neptune one on this one. But might have to rig something up for vacation with a manual float valve and a water jug above the tank sitting on a hutch. Should look pretty ghetto

Have been very happy with my ATK. Would be even happier with the V2
