So I just bought a cheap window fan to exhaust my hot chiller exhaust out of the window. Although the chiller’s internal temp probe has been calibrated to my Apex Temp probe, it is sometimes off by a few tenths of a degree. My chiller is set to go on at 80 degrees and generally cuts off at around 78.9 degrees, according to the chiller display.

I’d like to set the window fan to turn on at 80 degrees and shut off 15 minutes after it hits 79 degrees. So I figure I need some sort of defer statement.

I tried doing this, but when I upload it, the defer time disappears so clearly it’s wrong. :(

Fallback OFF
Set ON
If Tmp > 80.0 Then ON
If Tmp < 79.0 015:00 Then OFF

I tried this too... it didn’t work either. :(

Fallback OFF
Set ON
If Tmp > 80.1 Then ON
If Tmp < 79.0 Defer 015:00 Then OFF

Any ideas?

Trial and error... Gonna try this now.

Fallback OFF
Set ON
If Tmp > 80.0 Then ON
If Tmp < 79.0 Then OFF
Defer 015:00 Then OFF
