Good afternoon everyone!

I was wondering if someone can help me with a schedule/intensity for my tank.

Tank is 36"W x 12" Deep, and the light is 8" from the surface of the water. I am keeping Zoa's, Paly's and some encrusting LPS such as Chalice's.

Photon 32 V2 (Not the +)

Thanks for your help in advance!!

Given the 12" deep water I think your intensity levels will be lower than most other tanks.

I have a 20" deep tank and at midday I do 5 hours of both blue channels at 90% and the white channel at 40%. I do a 4 hour dawn ramp which starts very low and a 5 hour sunset that drops off fairly slowly. My best guess is that the 5 hour midday along with 1 or 2 hours either side of the midday intensity is high enough for photosynthesis in the zooxanthellae. BTW, my tanks is mostly zoas and RFA's, but I do have a few lps and sps as well. I run lots of blue as that is what the zooxanthellae use and I like the fluorescence from the corals and anemones.

I suspect you will have peak intensities in the 60% for blues and 20% to 30% for the white.

As far as all the other colors (red/green/violet) are concerned, IMHO you can add or remove them as you see fit. I run mine at 60% during midday and close to and even at zero during the ramp up and down.

I have my peak during the day at 50 on blues and 30 on whites and my couple zoas I have are still losing color. Not sure if it's to much or to little light. They are not reaching for the light.

Loss of color can be due to several other things beside light intensity.
