I’m running a modest Fluval LED light bar and after seeing some light schedule settings of another reefer running an impressive AI light kit, I wanted to simulate what they shared, but don’t recall the specifics.
I remember they fluctuated it through peak hours to simulate clouds, and that blue and white were the main spectrums, but little more. I was hoping some of you would help by taking snapshots of your scheduling app to show your lighting program schedule by color% and times?

This is what I’ve come up with for a mixed reef, fairly hardy selection, newly established.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don’t think there’s any benefit to simulating clouds or storms, it’s virtually impossible to accurately simulate them and corals aren’t going to benefit from it anyway. I recommend just having a 12 hour photoperiod and 12 hours of darkness (no moon lights). And for the 12 hours on, ramp up and down for 2-3 hours and then have full intensity for 6-8 hours in the middle. The percentages/intensity you keep your lights at depends on what look you prefer and what you’re keeping.
Here’s my schedule:
8am - B20% W0%
9am - B40% W10%
930am - B60% W20%
10am - B80% W30%
6pm - B60% W20%
630pm - B40% W10%
7pm - B20% W0%
8pm - B0% W0%
