Hello all,

I've been given a lot of frags of hammers, frammers, and frogspawn from my university's wet lab. I was wondering what is the most efficient / effective method for propagating these corals? I really have no experience in coral propagation, but I am looking to get into it. Any advice?

Hey TuckerMCW, my advice for propagating Euphyllia and really any corals in general is to get good equipment (I'm not saying drop 10k on a 20 gallon, but research the equipment and make a good investment into it) and just provide the corals with stability, that is the key to any successful tank no matter what parameters people run the biggest difference between a successful reef tank and an unsuccessful tank in my opinion is keeping everything stable from parameters to maintenance routine to lighting and even flow. Another important thing is finding someone with a stable mature reef tank and using their tank as a guide rather than mashing together the methods of 20 different reefers. If you have any questions we are happy to help we are in charlotte so just a short ways away, message us on here, call us, email us message us on facebook whatever is easiest for you we are more than happy to help our fellow reefers.
