I moved into a new house this year and we have a propane fireplace, which I have never had before. We really do not use it a lot , only to take the chill out on cold days.
I had it on the other day for about 2 hours and I happened to check on the tank And my PH, which is pretty steady at 8.15-8.25 had dropped to 7.6 ! I shut the fireplace off and have not used it since .
The fireplace is unvented so I'm assuming it raises the CO2 in the house which caused the ph drop?
I wondering if I had left it on longer if the ph would have continued to drop?
Anybody else that has one noticed this issue? Anything I can do about it?
