Proper iron levels

I’m running into problems with my chaeto dying off recently. I grew it from a small billiard ball size to filling my entire 18”x12”x12” fuge, and no parameters or lighting has changed. The only potential culprit I’ve heard is potentially it’s consumed all the iron and is now starving for iron.

With that in mind, I just ordered a Hanna Iron checker. What are appropriate parameters for iron, considering I’m running a fuge?

Desirable iron levels are lower then most hobby grade test kits can read. With that being said there has been no documented side affects to slightly overdoing. Personally I use Red Sea Iron and dose 3 ml weekly in my 40gal system and my Chaeto has quadruple+ in size since I got it 2 weeks ago.
