Proper way to run tests on aquarium

...always to be high I mean 1600 consistently is it all because of my SG.
The only thing I can think of that I am not testing is PH and I don't think there's a problem with that.
I need to do something because I just can't keep up testing over and over again and not sure what to do next.

I have always run my tanks at between 1500-1600 Mg (Alk 7.8-8 and Ca at 420-440) and never noticed any negative effects. And I don't dose Mg, it just naturally stays at that level.

I wouldn't sweat a level of 1600... ;Happy However I would want to correct things if the level was too low.

After checking everywhere I could think of and that includes my sw mixing station. I pulled my Protein Skimmer out and the mat that it was on and I think I found part of the problem I'm still not sure about the copper but look here .......dam I didn't think I would find anything for all that work but it was worth it
