Today I had to change the resin in my RO/DI unit, I had purchased a two pack replacement and only used 1/4 of the first pack.
I resealed the resin in the bag it came in and placed that in another sealable bag which I in turn placed in the silver bag which they come in.

Simply, how best to store it. This is the first time I've had to replace and now store resin.

Any insight is appreciated!!!
Thanks

agree i do 7# bags ,put foil in plastic sealed bag and into sealed 5 gal bucket ,keep cartridges in there also, clean and dry..

Do you replace the actual resin in the di cartridge or the entire di cartridge?

The best results I have gotten is using Vacuum sealed bags like this one.

They are a bit big but the extra plastic just becomes a thin flap that I tuck underneath the 5 pound bag of media. The wife went to town using the spare bags in the kit. One piece of advise, don't get the hand pump ones, they are annoying to use. The ones that hook onto a Vacuum cleaner take 10 seconds to get so tight they squeze the media down to a tight brick.

I haven’t tried that. You can open the cartridge without breaking it to replace the resin?

Just the resin, do a YouTube search and they show you how to pack the resin into the cartridge. It's easy and cheaper than buying a new cartridge every time.
You could also buy a larger cartridge to replace a smaller one if needed

Yes, if I can’t break into my current cartridges to swap out the resin, I’ll buy ones where I can. Thanks. Good tip/info.

I buy the resin from BRS and it comes in a resealable foil bag. Kind of like a ziplock
The ones I purchased were from Amazon and they came in two ziplock bags inside the foil bag.
Just never stored them before!
