Pros & cons of dosing sodium nitrate

Hello, i have 850 liters of SPS dominate tank , 3 months old.
No3 is at 0 (with salifert) , Po4 is at 0.06.

i know how to mix sodium nitrate , but want to hear your opinio about advantages & Disadvantages of dosing sodium nitrate.

If it is sufficiently pure, the main drawback is that it boosts alk. Some corals may slightly prefer ammonia, but that’s not a drawback relative to not dosing.
