I live in an open industrial loft of only 800 sq feet and need to have pest control come in and spray/fog for pests outside the tank. The tank is a Fluval EVO 13.5, so not huge. Is there a way to cover it to protect it from the fogging? Maybe a garbage bag over it and taped shut around the base? This would be for around four hours. It's running a return, wavemaker, and skimmer. Should any of these be shut off?

I would move the 13 gallon tank to another location. I.e. a neighbor, friend, relative for 24 hours. In general - unless sprayed directly into the tank (or through a skimmer intake) - many of these issues seem to be overblown.

The fog is a mist. It should penetrate cracks. Prob pretty hard to make your tank air tight plus the residue will be everywhere.
